There are many types of attachments for mini excavators, and different attachments can greatly expand their application scenarios and improve operational efficiency.
- Digging and crushing attachments
- Standard Bucket (Universal Bucket) Function: the most commonly used attachments, used for earthmoving, trench digging, material loading, and so on. Subdivision type: according to the width and tooth shape, it can be divided into narrow bucket (trench excavation), wide bucket (levelling work), rock bucket (with reinforced teeth), etc. 2.
- Hydraulic Breaking Hammer (Cannon Head) Function: Breaking concrete, rock, frozen soil and other hard objects by high-frequency impact, commonly used in demolition, mining or municipal construction.
- Looseners (crackers) Function: with multiple pointed teeth, used for loosening hard soil, frozen soil or crushing the ground of slate, also can assist in stripping the surface rock.
Grabbing and Handling Attachments
- Hydraulic grapples Types: shell grapples (grabs sediment, gravel), timber grapples (clamps round logs), waste grapples (handles construction waste). Function: Precise grabbing of loose or irregular materials, suitable for waste recycling, material sorting, etc.
- Thumb Clamp (Mechanical Jaw) Function: A movable clamping plate installed on the digging bucket to enhance the clamping force on stones and wood, suitable for loading and unloading or handling operations.
- Forklift Attachment Function: It turns the excavator into a forklift temporarily to carry pallets, pipes or small containers, which can be flexibly used for storage or site transfer.
Levelling and Cleaning Attachments
- Bulldozer (front shovel) Function: Installed at the front of the machine, it is used for backfilling, levelling the ground or clearing snow to improve the efficiency of site preparation.
- Grading Bucket (Scraper) Function: Wide and flat bucket, used for fine levelling of the ground, slope repair or gravel spreading, replacing manual scraping.
- Rotary sweeper Function: To clean the debris, leaves or snow on the road surface through the high-speed rotating brush head, suitable for municipal sanitation.
Fourth, special engineering attachments
- vibration plate tamper Function: replace traditional hand-held tamper, used for trench backfill or roadbed compaction, save manpower.
- auger (ground auger) Function: drilling holes for planting trees, burying piles or installing small pillars, with a diameter of up to tens of centimetres.
- Cutting Saw (Hydraulic Disc Saw) Function: cutting asphalt pavement, concrete or rock, suitable for road maintenance or pipeline trenching.
- Pile driving head Function: with vibratory hammer or impact hammer, used for driving steel sheet piles, small pipe piles, etc. V. Multi-function and Adaptor
- Quick-change coupler (quick connector) Function: Quickly switch between different implements (e.g. digging bucket for crushing hammer) without manually dismantling the pins to enhance the efficiency.
- Tilt swivel Function: enables the implement to rotate or tilt 360°, which is suitable for precise work in complex terrain (e.g. slope repair).
