Routine maintenance of small excavators

Cleaning: After work, clean the excavator surface of mud and debris, especially the radiator, engine and other parts of the dust, to prevent poor heat dissipation and parts wear.
Check the fuel and lubricating oil: check the fuel oil level and add it in time when it is insufficient; also check the oil level and quality of lubricating oil, if the oil is found to be deteriorated or below the minimum scale, it needs to be replaced or added.
Check the cooling water: check the cooling water level, add it when it is insufficient to ensure the normal cooling of the engine.
Check the hydraulic oil: check the hydraulic oil level, if it is lower than the specified range, you need to add the hydraulic oil; at the same time, observe the colour and smell of the hydraulic oil, if there is any abnormality, it should be replaced in time.
Check the fasteners: check the bolts, nuts and other fasteners of each part of the excavator, if loose, tighten them in time.
Check the tracks: check the tightness and wear of the tracks, and adjust or replace them if necessary.
Regular maintenance
Change the engine oil and filter element: according to the use time and work intensity, change the engine oil and oil filter element regularly, usually every 500 hours or three months.
Replace the hydraulic oil and filter element: replace the hydraulic oil and hydraulic filter element every 1,000 hours or six months to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
Replace the air filter: the air filter is replaced every 500 hours or three months to prevent dust from entering the engine.
Check and adjust valve lash: check and adjust engine valve lash every 1500 hours or nine months to ensure engine performance.
Check and adjust fuel injectors: fuel injectors are checked every 2,000 hours or one year and adjusted or replaced if necessary.
Check and replace belts: belts are inspected every 1,000 hours or six months and need to be replaced if they are badly worn or cracked.
Check and replace tyres: tyres need to be replaced when they are worn to a certain extent to ensure the driving safety and stability of the excavator.
Check and maintain the battery: check the battery electrolyte level and electrode condition regularly, add distilled water or replace the electrode if necessary.
Special Maintenance
Winter Maintenance: Before winter comes, carry out a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the excavator, including replacing oil, hydraulic oil and fuel suitable for low temperature environment, checking the antifreeze in the cooling system, and making good anti-rust treatment.
Long-term storage maintenance: If the excavator needs to be stored for a long time, clean the excavator, park it in a dry and ventilated place, grease all parts evenly, disconnect the negative pole of the battery, and cover the excavator with dustproof cloth.
